IT Project Manager/Engineer

to enhance our IT Team we are looking for a

In this exciting position you will be driving the implementation of new software solutions and actively shape the software landscape of Packimpex. Your main tasks are to analyse and understand complex requirements (from technical and business perspective) and to implement a technical solution, both hands-on as well as working with partners.

We are seeking a communicative and solution-oriented personality, featuring a high degree of self-organization skills. Having a technical IT background is a must, and rather profound skills in turning business language into modelled data structures will be required. Knowledge in SQL databases should also be one of your key competences (MS SQL, MySQL or Postgres). The ability to read existing source code in various (higher level) languages as well as write scripts are supporting you in the tasks.

As an independent and well-organized person, you are used to working with a solution-oriented mindset and always keeping a cool head. Organizing multiple parallel ongoing projects in an agile environment with different stakeholders is another strength of yours. You like the development of interdisciplinary solutions, have a can-do-attitude and like a certain degree of pragmatism. You are a team player and motivated to bring your dynamic personality to the table.

In our multicultural and flexible environment, your fluent business English is needed daily. Knowledge in German or French is very welcome, but not a selection criteria. If you like the international flair with a friendly work culture and are passionate to give it your all and strive for personal accountability, then at Packimpex you can expect an interesting and varied project portfolio.

The job is designed to be based in Thörishaus (Bern). Due to our flexible working from home policy and the current local circumstances, we are open to discuss a solution.
